Does it work on Windows 10 and Windows 11?
Yes. OverlayOS supports both Windows 10 and Windows 11 (64-bit). Everything is bundled in the installer, with no additional runtime required.
Is it safe to install community tools?
Every community plugin runs in a secure sandbox with isolated permissions. Plugins cannot access files, network, or system resources unless you explicitly grant permission.
How much resources does it use?
Typically under 50 MB RAM with minimal CPU usage. Designed to run silently in the background without affecting performance.
